GALILEO is a collection of resources, just one of many that Brenau students have access to. Our professors who have been here many years (back when GALILEO was all we had) will occasionally use the name "Galileo", but they really want you to to use the full scope of resources available through the library. To get to the stuff they want you to use, click to the Education LibGuide at http://libguides.brenau.edu/education. You will find just about any research source you need for your Education courses here at Brenau.
If you need online books, click on the gold Books tab. All of the sources here are great! If you need articles, click on the Articles tab. More great resources, but each is a little different and has a lot of unique content. For most assignments, I would start with Academic Search Complete or Education Journals by ProQuest. If your information need is more about professional development for teachers, try the Professional Development Collection.
No matter what the resource, you will be asked for two things to log in:
- 6 digit student ID number
- Brenau user name, which is the first part of your email address - JDoe or SSmith1, for example.
And that's all it takes! One place, with all of the relevant research information, and a login that will never change!
Thanks for asking!
