I am looking for specific information on affirmative action.

I am really looking for affirmative action myths and details about AA. Example: Affirmative Action prevents employers from hiring white males who are more qualified for the job. I have to prove whether fact or fiction. I am having trouble locating such information. Any suggestions. I have been search ebooks.

To find articles on your topic, go to and select the yellow tab for Business Administration - Articles.  Under the list of databases, select Business Source Complete.  Once on the database site, select Advanced Search which will give you several search boxes.  In the first box, input "affirmative action" (yes, with the quotations around the search term) and specify in the adjacent box that this should be searched in SU for Subject Terms.  Then check the boxes for full text and scholarly articles.  This will give you over 1,000 scholarly articles that you may wish to further refine by inputting specific  aspects of the topic of interest.

Another strategy focuses on a particlar topic related to affirmative action from the onset.  This is  employed in ABI/Inform, another database on the recommended list.  Input "affirmative action" and "reverse discrimination" in the Advanced Search boxes and specify that they should be searched in Subject heading (all) - SU. Then limit to full text and scholarly journals. This strategy will yield less than ten results on the specific aspect of reverse discrimination in relation to affirmative action.

Either strategy may be used in these databases.
