Ok. The best place to find nursing articles is in a nursing-specific database. Start at the nursing libguide: https://libguides.brenau.edu/nursing.  Click the Articles tab, then choose a nursing database from the list. Try the CINAHL database first.

Open CINAHL, then click "Advanced Search" under the search box to get more options. Search "hospital-acquired infection" in the first box. You should get over 17,000 results. Next, add more search terms in the second box. Type nurse OR nursing, then search. you should have many fewer search results now, and everything that's left will mention nurses or nursing. That makes it more likely that it's from a nursing journal.

Now you need to narrow to peer-reviewed and by year. Look on the left side. Change the Publication Date area to 2014 to 2019. This eliminates all the older articles, so everything you see will be less than 5 years old. Next, under the publication date setting, click the "Show More" link. A window with many options will pop up. Check the "Peer Review" box, then search again.

Now everything that's left is:

a) about hospital-acquired infection

b) relevant to nurses

c) published within 5 years

d) peer-reviewed
