BASC-3 Reviews, Citation and Reference
Greetings! I am trying to find recent reviews of the BASC, third edition (2015). I don't know how to access the Mental Measures Yearbook from Brenau's library (if we have access) or if there are other places to look as I have done several searches to no avail. Also for reference purposed, would it be:
Reynolds, C.R., Kamphaus, R.W. (2015). Behavior assessment for children: Third edition. (BASC-3). [Assessment Instrument]. Bloomington, MN: Pearson.
Then in text, 1st time (putting the acronym as I will refer to it often as this paper is a review of the BASC:
Behavior Assessment System in Children (3rd ed.; BASC-3; Reynolds & Kamphaus, 2015). Thereafter I would refer to it as the "BASC-3" and put "(Reynolds & Kamphaus, 2015)." at the end of the sentence. Correct? If not, please advise. (I used p. 210 of APA manual and the APA Style site for the DSM to format this.)

We have access to a print copy of Mental Measurements Yearbook, but unfortunately it was published before the latest edition of the BASC came out, so it won't be helpful here. Don't worry, we'll get it somewhere else.
2 options:

2) Request copies of these through interlibrary loan:

Your reference draft was basically correct. I changed a couple things in bold:
Added ampersand between author names
Added missing word "system" to title
Changed title to Title Case instead of Sentence case. This was a toss-up for me. Usually titles go in Sentence case, but in this case it's also a proper noun. Page 210 gives varying examples. I went with Title Case since it appears in both the APA Style examples and some of the manual examples.
Removed the BASC-3 abbreviation from the reference. You'll introduce the abbreviation in the first in-text citation, but you don't need it in the reference.
Removed period before [Assessment instrument]
Changed instrument to lower-case following p.210 example
