I think the best way to go about this research is to look at what you know to locate the vocabulary that will help you get to what you want to know.
For instance, if you go to library.brenau.edu and use the following key words in the Search Everything tab: common core AND development
From the results page, I would recommend using the limiters on the let of the screen to limit your search to full text and peer review.
While these articles may not have the exact information you might need right now, by reading them (even just the abstracts) you should be able to find the information that will lead you in the right direction.
