After some searching, we were unable to locate enough information about school prestige and academic standards - it looks as if little research has been done on these topics together.
We did find information on college choice as it relates to race and gender - which might be easier to write a paper on for this course. Please check with your instructor before going forward.
I suggest using general search terms for now, and then narrowing your terms when you are more sure about your topic. Use the search terms college AND choice AND race or college AND choice AND gender (be sure to use the AND between your search terms).
From library.brenau.edu you will be able to access scholarly books and articles that will be perfect for your research paper.
For books I suggest using the Search Everything tab from library.brenau.edu:

For journal articles, I suggest using the same search terms but from resources linked from our research guides. From library.brenau.edu click the research guides tab from the top of the page. Select the first guide, called A Starting Point, then select the All-Purpose Research Guide, then select the articles tab on the left side of the page and, finally select the Academic Search Complete database. There you will enter your search terms, like you did before.
