Hello,
You will likely find a great deal of information on the importance of organ donation on the internet on governmental and health sites but most of the research on organ donation that you will likely find in scholarly journal articles is going to focus on the technical aspects of organ donation such as a particular type of organ transplant AND health outcomes or morbidity or on barriers to organ transplants or on the legal and ethical implications of organ transplantation.
I did a quick google search and found this interesting information on a reliable governmental website about the number of people currently on the organ transplant list as well as how many die every day without receiving an organ: https://www.organdonor.gov/statistics-stories/statistics.html
If you wish to find articles on other aspects of organ transplantation such as barriers to donation go to the database Academic Search Complete by going to the allpurpose research guide at libguides.brenau.edu/allpurpose. Choose the articles tab and then Academic Search Complete. You will need to login using your Brenau username and password. Next limit your search by clicking on the full-text and the scholarly (peer-reviewed) boxes below the search bar. Next type in your search terms. I used Organ Donation AND Barriers and I got some good results. Don't forget to connect your search term keywords with the word AND.
