When typing references in a powerpoint presentation is everything still supposed to be double spaced? How do we get a hanging indent in a powerpoint slide? - Jane (jkim2@tiger.brenau.edu) Also, with the graphics.. do we cite them by adding a "note" below the image? Lastly, the title page. Dr. Allen wants the group members to be listed but it looks so cluttered listing 6 peoples' names. Write out the full name or abbreviate (e.g., J. Lim, E. Smith, W. Wolf, & D. Yu)? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Answers for your questions:

1.  There is no need to double space references on a powerpoint slide.

2.  To get a hanging indent on your PP click on home, highlight your text, and then move the marker on the ruler to achieve the desired indentation.  It should look like this:

3.  If you use a table from another source, then you must cite the source directly beneath the table, as well as on the list of References page. Number your table and give it a brief, but clear title in italics.  Commence your citation beneath the table with Note.

Here is an example:

Note. Adapted from The Harvard Medical School Guide to Men’s Health, p. 107, by H. B. Simon, 2002,
New York: Free Press.

4.  The text on your title page should be centered and should begin about a third of the way down the page.  If it is on a PP slide then don't worry about that.  It should include the title of your paper/presentation.  On a line below that it you should write all of your names even if it does look cluttered and finally on the line below that you should type Brenau University.  Please ask Dr. Allen if you are required to have a running head for the paper part of the assignment.  For help with formatting APA style papers in Microsoft Word, see this video:
