Hello,
Two librarians have looked extensively for a list of the engineered rivers of the world, and we've not been able to locate such a list. We have checked books, encyclopedias, and multiple online sources. It seems that river engineering is so common (did you know that there are 85,000 dams in the US alone?) that the list doesn't exist.
There are many sources on engineered rivers including ebooks and Google. I suggest you compile a list of your own. You could begin with the Yangtze, the Mississippi-Atchafalaya Basin, the Nile, the Chicago, the Tennessee, the Los Angeles, the Danube, and the Rhine.
Sorry we haven't been able to find the list!
