Can I use a definition from wikipedia in my case analysis

I found a write up in wikipedia, can I use it to support my argument in my case analysis?

The professors that I've worked with the the Business School will not accept Wikipedia as evidence to support a case because the authority of the content can't be verified. My advice to you is that using Wikipedia is not worth the risk to your grade. Instead, I have two alternatives:

  • Check the Wikipedia article for references that are more authoritative, and track down the references.
  • Click the reply link in this email to send me the link to the Wikipedia article and let me know what part is useful. With that info, I can guide you to authoritative sources that will be more acceptable.

Thanks for aksing a librarian.
