Hello,
I was able to find a good e-book on this subject. First, go to the library catalog at brenau.worldcat.org. I used the search terms Beginning AND Internet. The third item on the results page is an e-book titled "Media Technology and Society: A History: From the Telegraph to the Internet." Click on the View Now button and then View This E-book to get into the book. Next, click on PDF Full Text to the top left of your screen. From there click on the link for the contents and use the arrows at the bottom center of your screen to go forwards and backwards in the book. The chapter on the origins of the internet begins on page 321 so you can also just type 321 into the box at the bottom center of the page and hit go to navigate to the beginning of the relevant chapter.
I also found some good sources in Research Library by Proquest. Go to the all purpose libguide at libguides.brenau.edu/allpurpose. Choose the Journal Articles tab. Choose Research Library by Proquest. Sign in using your Brenau username and password. Click the button for full text under the search bar. Use the search terms "origins of the internet" being sure to include the quotation marks. Click on the title of the articles to access the full text of the articles. You can also email these articles to yourself using the email function at the top and center of your screen.
