Hello!

You will want to cite the chapter of the textbook that you're using. If you use more than one chapter to write the paper, use more than one reference entry. The format for citing an online book is:

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of chapter. In Title of book (xth ed., pp. xxx–xxx). doi:xxxxx

or

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of chapter. In Title of book (xth ed., pp. xxx–xxx). Retrieved from http://xxxxx

If you have a DOI, use that. If not, use the URL from the home page of the web site where you access the book. For example, if it's coming from Macmillan, it would be: Retrieved from http://www.macmillanhighered.com   .

Thanks for asking a librarian!
