Start by going into the education libguide at libguides.brenau.edu/education.  Choose the background tab.  Scroll down until you see Credo Reference and click on Credo Reference.  You will be asked to login using your Brenau username and password.  From the homepage of Credo Reference, choose the Find a Book tab.  Type the word computer into the Title Contains bar.  The Encyclopedia of Computer Science as well as Webster's New World Computer Dictionary should come up.  The dictionary will be helpful for finding basic definitions and the encyclopedia will give your more detailed essays on computers and computer applications.  Click on the title of the encyclopedia.  Type in Computer Systems into the search bar.  On the second page of results you will find a very helpful article about computer systems.  You can continue searching this particular resource for applications as well. 

Next, go back to the education libguide and click on the books tab.  Click on Ebooks on Ebscohost.  From the homepage, search terms such as Computer Systems AND Applications.
