I'm unable to find a scholarly book exclusively about Butylated Hydroxytoluene. I must point out to you that The BHT Book by Steven Wm. Fowkes is NOT considered a scholarly book. It is a self-published book of dubious scientific research. I would use caution when using it in a scholarly paper.

There aren't any scholarly books only on BHT, but it is mentioned in several texts about food allergy, consumer safety, and health. There are two routes to go with your research:

If you are short on time:

Go to the Databases A-Z LibGuide

click on the letter e and then click on the second option, eBooks on Ebsco

Login with your Brenau username and password

Search on Butylated Hydroxytoluene

6 books will pop up. You can pick one of the six books. You can search in the eBooks with the phrase Butylated Hydroxytoluene or BHT and find which pages mention BHT.

If you have more time you can use Interlibrary Loan:

Go to our Library Catalog

Type in Butylated Hydroxytoluene and make sure you are searching on Libraries Worldwide

After your search results are brought up, look on the left-hand side.

Click on "Book" and this will limit it to book.

Unclick the thesis / ebook/ and microform boxes

Now you have a selection of about 60 books and government publications that mention BHT. You can pick which ones you want and fill out the ILL form located on the catalog page. You'll see it in gray when you click on the book's title.

Keep in mind that it may take up to two weeks to get ILL materials!
