For a great starting point on this subject visit our LibGuides. There are several aspects to this subject depending on how you approach it. Is the approach from the position of a manager or business owner looking to act ethically when faced with an ageing work force or is the approach from a gerontogical foundation and posed as advice to seniors in the work force? You might find information in our Business Ethics and our Gerontology LibGuides. The Business Ethics LibGuide can help narrow sources for finding legal information and the Gerontology LibGuide can assist with resources for assisting senior citizens in acclimating to the work force.
Once you have some general information, keep in mind some essential terms when looking for articles and books. Try searching Senior Citizens paired with words and phrases like employment, age discrimination, obstacles, rights, etc... You can also search for those same terms paired with retirement or elderly to get similar results. A quick search using the terms "senior citizen AND employment" in ScienceDirect yielded 276 articles ranging in topics from health insurance, age discrimination, pensions, diversity, and technology. You might want to consider narrowing your scope to a particular obstacle depending on your professor's requirements.
