I need a doi number for this URL
https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&authtype=ip,shib&db=eric&AN=EJ996970&site=eds-live&scope=site&custid=bre1. The name of the journal article for Writing In Science by Marlow Ediger in the journal 'education'. If you could help me cite it correctly, that would be great! I don't think I am doing it right.
Hello!
Unfortunately, there is no doi number that I can find that is associated with the article that you are using. When using APA style, if there is no doi and you retrieved the article online, then you include the the URL for the journal in the reference instead of a doi number. You should use this format: Retrieved from http://www.projectinnovation.biz/education.html. This URL is listed in the citation that you sent but if you want to use an article with no doi and no URL listed in the citation, you can usually google the journal title to find the correct URL.
Also, there is a very helpful tutorial about DOIs and URLs in the Advanced Education LibGuide which you can reach here: http://libguides.brenau.edu/content.php?pid=194635&sid=1882548. It leads you through the methods for finding a doi before using a URL and how to find the URL if there is none listed in the citation information.
I hope that this helps.
