If all of the library's copies of an eBook or eAudiobook title are currently in use when you try to access the title, you see a link for the hold request option or the notification request option. Click the link to receive an e-mail message when a copy of the title is available.

For the hold request option, the title is held exclusively for you so you can access it. The e-mail message shows how long it will be held for you before others can access it. 

For the notification request option, the e-mail message tells you that you can try to access the title, on a first-come, first-served basis. Any other users who have a notification request for the same title receive the same message, at the same time as you.
