Question

How can I find recent articles on plagiarism in the news?

Details

I have an assignment on finding an article on recent plagiarism in the news. I found one in the “New York Post” but it was not a complete article on the original issue, just their reporting of the after effect. Would something like that be credible?

Thanks for writing with your question.

Generally speaking, the New York Post is not considered a creditable source. I would try looking in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Sunday Times (UK), or The Observer (UK).

To find articles, I would search for news about plagiarism in the online newspaper databases accessible through the Brenau Trustee Library portal. The databases are called Newspaper Source and ProQuest Newspapers. You can search for the databases from the main library page at https://library.brenau.edu/, under the select databases tab.

Each database allows you to limit to full text, the year range you are interested in searching, and even the publications you are most interested.

I hope this is helpful.
