Hello!

First, go to the business administration libguide at libguides.brenau.edu.  Next choose the Business-Books tab.  The first box on this page is the library catalog widget.  Type the search terms China AND Economy AND History into the search bar.  Be sure to include the word AND in all-caps.  The 8th result on this page is an e-book titled "The Economy of China."  Click on the View Online button.  You may be asked to login using your Brenau username and password.  Once you have logged in click on the pdf full text button to the left of your screen.  You will see a table of contents to the left of your screen which you can use to navigate through the book.  You can also use the index listed in the table of contents and the arrows in the middle, bottom of the screen.

Next, if you wish to find some scholarly journal articles, go back to the business administration libguide and choose the Business - Articles tab.  Choose the database ABI/Inform by Proquest.  Type in the search terms China AND Economy.  Before you search, limit your search by clicking on the full text and scholarly boxes below the search bar.  You will find many good results here including those that deal with China's contemporary economy such as: China: A new kind of 'mixed economy?' and China's economic history such as  "China in the World Economy: 1300-2030."  In addition to these search terms, I also used the terms China AND International Trade and got many good results in the same database, ABI/Inform by Proquest.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
