Question

GALILEO is asking me to log in, but I don't have the GALILEO password!

Details

GALILEO is asking me to log in, but I don't have the password to GALILEO. [In some cases, I'm already logged into my 6-digit Brenau ID and Username and it's *still* asking me for authentication!] Where can I find the GALILEO password so I can use our resources?

The password to GALILEO changes on a regular basis, and GALILEO will not allow us to give out the password over the phone or on the open web. The GALILEO password is now the same PW you use to access all of our other databases.

It is
-- your Brenau email user name - e.g. jsmith2 - and
-- your 6-digit student/employee ID (the number you use to log in to CampusWeb to get grades, register for courses, and pay bills) - e.g. 123456.

Your login information will not change as long as you are at Brenau!

If you see a screen that contains this login request, you are seeing a login request from GALILEO.

GALILEO login

You should not see a request to log in from GALILEO, you should only see the Brenau log in request, which looks like this:

However, there may be several possible ways around this problem.

Go to your class subject's Libguide to find database and journal links: LibGuides. Or, if you know the name of the database you wish to access, go to Databases A-Z to access the database directly: Databases A-Z.

If you know the name of the journal you wish to access, you can look it up by title in the library's online catalog or you can search for it using the library's Citation Finder or list of Journals A-Z

If you are still unable to find what you need, contact a librarian for further assistance at 770-534-6113 or using Ask a Librarian.

Don't forget that the Brenau online catalog retrieves articles, electronic books, streaming videos, streaming audio, and other materials found within Brenau's collection, so if you want to perform a federated search that incorporates--not only all of our journal articles, but all of our holdings regardless of format--be sure to search our catalog online.
