My topic is Gender Gap in the Workplace, and I would like to show examples of discrimination through history. I have found articles that are very informative, but they did not go into the history of it.

The first place you should look for this type of information is in the Brenau Trustee Library's catalog at www.brenau.worldcat.org.  I tried using the search terms Historical Gender Discrimination and I found some really good resources in books and ebooks.  You will likely find more of what you are looking for in books because of the nature of your topic.  In general you will find more information in the Humanities/History published in book form.  If you were just looking for gender discrimination and the workplace, then there would be a lot of scholarly journal articles in Academic Search Complete and ScienceDirect.
