I need to cite the Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act in APA style. I did access the document via the internet, but I am unsure how to properly cite it. I referenced page 220 of the APA Publication Manual and came up with the following - Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act, 43 Ga. Stat. Ann. ยงยง 26-1-13 (2010). Are there any corrections that I need to make? Thanks for your help!

You went to exactly the right place in the APA manual. Unfortunately, GA is one of a number of states that uses an irregular citation format, so the example doesn't apply.

In the references, the correct format for citing the entire act is:

Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act, O.C.G.A. § 26-1-13 (2012).

When citing multiple sections but not the whole act, use two sections symbols and give inclusive numbers -- Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 26-5-10 (2012).

And in text, if paraphrasing or quoting a specific section, be sure to cite it with the specific section number.

Glad to be of help!
